Description

Chorus Austin presents SUMMER NIGHTS, the choir’s first-ever pops concert. Austin’s celebrated chorus comes together to perform hits from the stage and screen, as well as by favorite performers from many styles and decades. The combined ensembles will feature timeless classics from the pen of Rodgers and Hammerstein, Seize the Day from Disney’s “Newsies,” then change on a dime to present Queen’s iconic Bohemian Rhapsody, You Will Be Found from the current Broadway hit “Dear Evan Hansen”, as well as a medley of classic TV Theme Songs.

SUMMER NIGHTS will also shine the spotlight on our community of talent, with solo and ensemble acts presented by members from within Chorus Austin’s family of singers. The repertoire will continue to showcase a wide variety of music, including performances of music made famous by Etta James, Carole King, Sara Bareilles, and the Backstreet Boys, to songs from musicals like “Carousel,” “The Book of Mormon,” and “My Fair Lady.”
